Bhagavad Gita, The Song of God - Chapter-2.20: Swami Mukundananda.

NOTE:

1.Kerala is a place of mentally disturbed ( Mad ) people: Said by Swami Vivekananda, TRUE EVEN NOW!!!

2. People here more conscious in UDF & LDF (THE TWO DESTOYING FORCES OF KERALA ANCIENT CULTURE) than our Nation Upanishadic Culture.

3. People identify themselves in political parties name than Kerala ancient culture.

4. Here Santana Dharma exists only in temple, people visit temples to fulfill personal demands

5. KERALA AS TAMIL NADU IS MOST CORRUPTED AND FOOLISH STATE, NEVER AWAKE AND RISE!!!

Chinmaya Mission :

Advaita Vedanta Immersive 2023 embarked on a sacred voyage into the core of Vedanta wisdom, concentrating on the second sutra of the Brahmasutra – "janmadyasya yatah" (Janmadyadhikarana).

This profound study unfolded from December 25th, extending the legacy of the prior Advaita Vedanta Immersive programs.

Rooted in the teachings of the Upanishads, Brahmasutra, and Bhagavad Gita, participants immersed themselves in Advaita Vedanta principles guided by Swami Advayananda, President of Chinmaya International Foundation, and assisted by esteemed individuals.

The program included comprehensive discussions on Shankara-bhashya, group dialogues, Q&A sessions, meditation, and daily reflections.

This amalgamation of Sravana, Manana, and Nididhyasana encapsulates the essence of the Advaita Vedanta Immersive.

Set at the birth home of Sri Adi Sankaracharya, the exploration involved 80 participants from diverse corners of the world, culminating in elevated understanding and realigned lives.

As the camp concluded, it left inspired minds and hearts carrying the eternal seed of Janmadyadhikarana for further contemplation and spiritual evolution.

Translation:

BG 2.20:

"The soul is neither born, nor does it ever die; nor having once existed, does it ever cease to be. The soul is without birth, eternal, immortal, and ageless. It is not destroyed when the body is destroyed."

===============================================================

Commentary:

The eternal nature of the soul has been established in this verse, which is ever-existing and beyond birth and death. Consequently, it is devoid of the six types of transformations:  “Existence in the womb, birth, growth, procreation, diminution, and death.” These are transformations of the body, not of the self. What we call as death is merely the destruction of the body, but the immortal self remains unaffected by all bodily changes. This concept has been repeatedly emphasized in the Vedas. The Kathopanishad contains a mantra almost identical to the above mantram of the Bhagavad Gita:

“The soul is not born, nor does it die; it did not spring from something, and nothing sprang from it. It is unborn, eternal, immortal, and ageless. It is not destroyed when the body is destroyed.”

“The soul is glorious, unborn, deathless, free from old age, immortal, and fearless.”
