The Relevance of the Bhagavadgita to Humanity : 17-2. (The First Six Chapters of the Bhagavadgita ) Chapter 17: The Meaning and Purpose of Sacrifice : - 2. (Spoken on Bhagavadgita Jayanti). ================================================================= This question is an answer to itself. A person who walks in broad daylight does not require to be told what is in front of him. A beam of light has been thrown on our path by an analysis of this kind, and there is no need to be told who does the action. The very idea of action requires to be transmuted. A Study of the Bhagavadgita : 9-1. Chapter : 9. The Yoga of Meditation.1. =================================================================== --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #The Yoga of meditation is the subject of the Sixth Chapter of the Gita.  At the very beginning, the Lord tells us that the art of Yoga is a system of raising oneself by oneself. In meditation you qualitatively improve yourself and do not merely carry on a quantitative process for a long time. Many days, several months, are occupied with the act of meditation, but it is not just that you have been doing something for a long time. Also you have improved yourself; you have become a better person through meditation.  The betterment is the qualitative aspect of it. -------------

The Philosophy of the Bhagavadgita-15-3. Chapter-15 : The Way and the Goal -3. ==================================================================== The concluding verses of the Twelfth Chapter go into details of the characteristics of a true devotee who lives in this world practically homeless, considering nothing as his own, not getting attached either positively or negatively to anything in the form of love or hate, and accepting anything that comes of its own accord, taking not any particular initiative, with no selfish interest involved, living to the extent practicable a life of impersonality, not putting on a behaviour or conduct on one's side which will repel people or which will cause one's own self also to shrink away from others. The physical sheath, the subtle astral sheath and the casual sheath are involved in movement, action and the desire for the fruit of action. Their activity is impossible unless the light of the kutastha, the Atman, is shed on them. In the same manner, nothing in this world can live or act unless the sun shines in the sky. We are alive today because the sun is in the sky. No pla

Sometimes it is said that you can concentrate on the centre of the eyebrows. This slokam also refers to that.  Cakshus caivantare bhruvoh : The middle of the eyebrows can be regarded as the point of concentration.  It is not that everyone should concentrate only in this way. This is one way among many other possible ways. One of the reasons for the efficacy of concentration in this manner on the centre of the eyebrows is psychologically, mystically, from an occult point of view, it is said that the point between the eyebrows is the centre of the mind in w
