Chapter-13. ( Kshetra-kshetrajna-vibhaga-yogam )

Slokam-17. ( Although the Supersoul appears to be divided, He is never divided. He is situated as one. Although He is the maintainer of every living entity, it is to be understood that He devours and develops all. )

Avibhaktam  ca  bhuteshu  vibhaktam  iva  ca  sthitam,


bhutabhartr  ca  tat  jneyam   grasishnu  prabhavishnu  ca.

jneyam  tat  =to  be  known  ( understood ),  that;

avibhaktam  ca  =  though  without division;

vibhaktam  iva  =  as if  divided;

sthitam  ca  =  situated  so;

bhutabhartr  =  ruler  of  all  bhuta-s  ( elements / living and  non-living  entities );

Srimad Bhagavad-Gita :

Chapter-13. ( Kshetra-kshetrajna-vibhaga-yogam )

Slokam-16. ( The Supreme Truth exists both internally and externally, in the moving and nonmoving. He is beyond the power of the material senses to see or to know. Although far, far away, He is also near to all.)

bahirantasca  bhutanam  acaram  caram  eva  ca,

sukshmatvat  tadavij├▒eyam   durastham  cantike  ca  tat.

**********************************************

tat  bhutanam  =  that  ( 'Brahmam'),  of  all  elemants / of  all  entities;

bahih  antah  ca  =  outside  and  inside;

acaram  caram  ca  =  movable  and  immovable;

( tat )  eva  =  that  only;

sukshmatvat  =  ( as  it is )  so  subtle;

tat  avijneyam  =  ( no one  can  )  know  that;

tat   durastham  =  that  ( is  there  )  far  away;

cantike  ca  =  ( it  is  also )  near  here  too.

Slokam-15. ( The Paramatma is the original source of all senses, yet He is without senses. He is unattached, although He is the maintainer of all living beings. He transcends the modes of nature, and at the same time He is the master of all modes of material nature.)


"sarvedriyagunabhasam  sarvendriyavivarjitam,

asaktam  sarvabrccaiva  nirgunam  gunabhoktr  ca."


(tat)  sarva-indriya-guna-abhasam  =  thatt,  brights  up  all  guna-s  of  indriya-s  but;

sarva-indriya-vivarjitam  =  without  any  indriya-s;

asaktam  =  not  attached  to  any,  but;

sarvabrt  ca  eva  =  supporting  all;

nirgunam  gunabhoktr  ca  =  without  any  guna-s,  but  experiences  all  guna-s  one.
