Srimad Bhagavad-Gita :
Chapter-1. ( Arjuna-vishadha-yogam)
Slokam-8. ( There are personalities like yourself, Bhishma, Karna, Krpa, Asvatthama, Vikarna and the son of Somadatta called Bhurisrava, who are always victorious in battle.)
Bhavan  Bhishmasca   Karnasca   Krupasca   samitijnjayah,
Asvathama   Vikarnasca   Soumadattistathaiva   ca.

bhavan   Bhishmas    ca    Karnas   ca    =    yourself,    Pithamaha   Bishma,    and    karna;

 samitijnjayah   Krupah    ca    =     great    victorious    in    battle,    Kripa    and;

 Asvathama   Vikarnah   ca   =    Aswathama    and     Vikarna;

 tatha    eva   Soumadattih   ca   =    as   well    as    Saumadatti    son   of   King   Somadatta   too    present    here. 

Because of guilty consciousness, Duryadhana,  in utter confused mind, regained his mental balance, and understood that his address to Acharya Drona as ' Dvijottama '  is wrong. He found the term  used is not respectful. The silence observed from the ACHARYA  DRONA confirmed his thought. 

 To get away from this, he started calling the names of warriors of his army.  
Duryodhana mentioned the exceptional heroes in the battle, all of whom are ever-victorious. Vikarna is the brother of Duryodhana, Asvatthama is the son of Dronacarya, and Saumadatti, or Bhurisrava, is the son of the King of the Bahlikas. Karna is the half brother of Arjuna, as he was born of Kunti before her marriage with King Pandu. Krpacarya married the twin sister of Dronacarya.

Here Duryodhana by the word bhavan is qualifying Drona as well as three others while mentioning those who are powerful in his army. The adjective samitinjaya meaning always victorious in battle applies to these four being Drona, Bhisma, Karna and Krpa. Then he points out others who are almost as powerful as these four such as Asvatthana and others. Asvatthama is the son of Drona. Vikarna is the younger brother of Duryodhana, Bhurisrava is Saumadatti the son of Somadatta who was the son of Bahilika the cousin of Bhishma. 


The names Duryodhana has mentioned are: Bhavah referring to Drona himself. Vikarna who is the younger brother of Duryodhana and Bhurisrava is the son of Somadatta. Samitinjayah means ever victorious and is applied to Bhishma, Karna, Kripa and Asvatthama, the seven maha-rathas mentioned. 
The most powerful commanders are being named now. Samjitinjayah means always victorious in battle. This applies to Drona and Bhishmadeva and all the warriors named herein. The son of Somadatta was known as Bhurishravas.
