Article Scriptures The Bhagavadgita's Message of Knowledge and Action: 7.  Swami Krishnananda (Spoken on Gita Jayanti in 1974) ======================================================================================= What is meant by saying we must be in harmony with the atmosphere and environment of our action, with all conceivable factors, in order that our action may be successful? Can we conceive all the factors? No. We are not sufficiently educated. Therefore, we fail in our action. We cannot exercise our mind to such an extent that we can understand the operation of all the factors involved in an action and, therefore, many of our actions go abortive, producing no result whatsoever. Chinmaya Mission: Twenty-six Yuvaveers from the 14th batch of the Youth Empowerment Programme recently visited Adi Sankara Nilayam, the maternal birth home of Adi Sankaracharya, as an expression of gratitude for the great Master.  Having studied his compositions during their course, they offered Sankara Kriti Parayana, a respectful chanting of Sadhana Panchakam and Tattvabodha, led by Swamini Sampratishthananda, Br. Sudheer Chaitanya, Br. Sundar Chaitanya, Br. Ved Chaitanya, and Brni. Taarini Chaitanya.  The Parayana began with Totakashtakam, followed by mantras from both texts, and concluded with the aarti of Sri Sankaracharya. Offering Sankara Kriti Samarpanam at Adi Sankara Nilayam, where Adi Sankaracharya underwent his Vidyarambham and Upanayanam, remains a meaningful tradition for seekers honoring the Master’s profound legacy. =========================================================================================== Wednesday 30, October 2024, 06:20. Swami Krishnananda (Gita Jayanti Message spoken on December 26, 1982.) ========================================================================================== The recorder of this great gospel, Krishna Dvaipayana Vyasa, was another miracle in himself. He was not in any way less than Sri Krishna, as we are told. According to our accepted traditional belief, great Masters like Vasishtha, Krishna, Vyasa and Suka were on an equal pedestal in knowledge and power. There is no comparison among them. And the recorder of this great gospel, which is a great mystery in itself, was also a mystery. And there are many traditions which tell us many things about the way in which the Bhagavadgita was recorded by Sri Krishna Dvaipayana Vyasa. Some say he was visualising directly what was happening and recording it then an
