Chinmaya Mission:  Chinmaya Mission Uganda are utterly grateful to have been blessed and graced by the first-ever Non-Stop Musical Hanuman Chalisa Chanting in Uganda.  Events were held prior at Jalaram Mandir and SSD Mandir, leading up to the 108 Chanting.  Approximately 350 people attended throughout the day, with 120 staying for the entire event.  The First Lady High Commissioner of India, Dryuti Rawat Singh, graced the occasion and participated as one of the main Yajma, and H.E.  Uppender Singh Rawat joined for the last three hours. Chinmaya Mission : A book release event of 'Shrimad Bhagavata' translation in Nepali was organized by Chinmaya Mission Sikkim on 9th of Dec. The event was graced by Br. Divakar Chaitanya's The Talk on 'Art of Peace.' It was held in the presence of Swami Pradhymna Shrestha, Padma Shree Sanu Lama, Nepali Sahitya Bhagwan president Rudra Poudyal and Chief information commissioner C.P Dhakal along with more than 100 devotees. It will consume you. The more you pamper it, the more it asks. Fire cannot be satisfied by any amount of fuel. It asks for more and more fuel so that it may enlarge itself and burn everything. Desire wants to consume you completely so that you may not be here at all. And if your desire is obstructed by an event, you are angry. You want to destroy that cause which is apparently obstructing the fulfilment of your desire. So anger is only another form of longing. Chinmaya Mission  During the holy month of Karthika several Chinmaya Mission centres had special celebrations worshipping Lord Shiva and Vishnu.  Featuring here the celebrations from Chinmaya Amarnath, Pittsburgh, USA and Sripaadakshetra, Bengaluru, India. Chinmaya Mission:  63 enthusiastic Chinmaya Yeva Kendras gathered in Krishnalaya for the annual CHYK San Jose retreat.  Led by Brahmachari Soham (Chinmaya Mission San Jose) and Brahmacharini Stuti (Chinmaya Mission Columbus), the CHYKs studied 20 values from slogas 8-12 of Bhagavad Gita Chapter 13. Each day consisted of yoga, meditation, nature walks, discourses by the brahmacharins, Q&A sessions, group discussions, interactive workshops, seva projects, and fun evening activities.  Retreat highlights included a hike amongst the towering redwoods of Richardson Grove State Park, a CHYK-led workshop based on the classic “snake” computer game, Antakshari around the campfire, and an open mic night.  Each attendee also had the special opportunity for small group satsang with the brahmacharins.
